Wherever you are, anywhere in the world, you can call the Visa Customer Service Center and we will provide assistance in your own language 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to help you with anything you need, from answering your questions about the benefits and insurance protection provided by your Visa card, obtaining travel assistance, to replacing your card or requesting an emergency cash advance. Services are provided in Spanish, English or Portuguese.

Emergency card replacement and cash disbursement services

Through the Global Customer Assistance Service (GCAS) program, Visa provides 24-hour emergency services to Visa cardholders around the world. Customers can call GCAS using a worldwide network of toll-free telephone numbers to obtain card related emergency services. Once a call is answered, Customer Service Associates assist the customer in one of 9 core languages. Associates also have immediate access to an international translation service to help translate calls in other languages.

Through GCAS, Visa provides Lost Stolen Card Reporting, Emergency Card Replacements, and Emergency Cash Disbursements.

Travel accident insurance

When you pay the full price of your tickets with your valid and active Visa card, you, your spouse and dependent children under 23 years of age are automatically protected by this insurance, at no additional cost, in case of death or accidental injury while under the responsibility of a commercial carrier with a valid license to transport passengers by air, water or land anywhere in the world.

Auto rental insurance

Visa cardholders may obtain the Auto Rental Insurance, if this coverage is provided by the card issuer, at no additional cost each time they rent an automobile using their Visa card. The cardholder must decline the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW/LDW) or similar coverage offered by the auto rental company. Coverage is offered by USA Chartis Inc.

International emergency medical service

As a Visa Commercial International cardholder, you, your spouse and dependent children under 23 years of age,or Visa CTA User, will each be covered automatically worldwide for the usual reasonable and customary charges for covered medical expenses in the event of serious injury or sickness which occurs during the course of a covered trip outside of your country of residence and country of card issuance.

Insured journey

In the event of accidental bodily injuries that are the sole cause of death or dismemberment arising from an accident that occurs during an Insured Journey, beneficiaries will receive compensation up to the maximum benefit amount.

Baggage delay

When you pay the full price of your tickets with your valid and active Visa card, you, your spouse and dependent children under 23 years of age are automatically protected, at no additional cost, by this insurance to cover essential items you need to purchase if your baggage is delayed for over six hours while under the control of the carrier.

Baggage loss

You will be insured automatically for an amount as decided by your issuer bank, for any baggage, that is lost due to theft or misdirection while in the care, custody and control of a common carrier, licensed for transport of passengers for hire.

Trip delay

When you pay the full price of your tickets with your valid and active Visa card, you, your spouse and dependent children under 23 years of age are automatically protected, at no additional cost, by this insurance to cover reasonable expenses incurred for meals and lodging if the trip is delayed or interrupted for more than six hours due to unforeseen failure or mechanical breakdown of the common carrier craft, equipment or severe weather that delay the regularly scheduled departure.

Trip cancellation

When you pay in full your tickets with your valid and active Visa card, you, your spouse and dependent children under 23 years of age are automatically protected, at no additional cost, by this insurance to cover prepaid travel and/or lodging expenses that are not recoverable. The insurance applies if the trip is cancelled due to serious illness or injury that you, a traveling companion or immediate family member suffers, or due to accidental damage to your residence or business 10 days or less before the departure date.

Missed connection

A reimbursement up to USD 2,000 will be paid to beneficiaries if due to any unforeseeable circumstances outside of the Insured’s control, the Insured missed transport connection and is unable to arrive at final destination by the time originally intended.

Hotel burglary

In the event of loss of certain personal items due to burglary while a registered guest, beneficiaries will receive compensation up to the maximum benefit amount. Hotel/Motel reservation needs to be guaranteed and paid for in full using a Visa eligible card or CTA account.

ATM assault

In the event beneficiaries are murdered, robbed or assaulted during or immediately after using an ATM (“Automatic Teller Machine”), there will be a compensation up to the maximum benefit amount. Benefits can replace stolen money and provide an additional benefit in case of death.

Corporate liability waiver program

The Visa Corporate Liability Waiver program allows Companies that have established a Commercial Card account (the “Company”) with a Visa Commercial Card Issuer (“Financial Institution”) to request the Financial Institution to waive the Company’s liability for certain Unauthorized Charges made by Company authorized Cardholders.
